A View from above: 60GW of global aerial inspections and the future of PV operations

Dr. Rob Andrews is the CEO and co-founder of Heliolytics, the global leader in aerial inspections for solar energy systems. Prior to founding Heliolytics, Rob was the principal at Calama Consulting, focusing on PV system operational optimization and resource assessment. Rob received his PhD from Queen's University specializing in PV system performance analytics and operational yield enhancement. He has published peer reviewed articles on advanced system modelling, system loss assessment and next generation yield enhancement technologies.


Heliolytics began in 2014 in response to a challenge faced by many solar providers: the data coming from PV systems was not accurate enough to find issues in the array, leading to shortfalls in the benefits of using solar energy.
